Humble Bundle Check is a browser extension that compares Humble Bundle game pages against your Steam library.

What the extension stores locally

The extension stores the following information in your browser profile using extension-local storage:

• your Steam Web API key
• your SteamID64
• your selected Steam store region
• cached Steam library data
• cached title resolution and pricing data used to avoid repeating lookups

This data is used only by the extension to provide ownership, pricing, and sale checks on supported Humble Bundle pages.

What the extension sends over the network

The extension sends data only when needed to perform its checks.

• To Steam Web API and Steam Store endpoints:
  • your Steam Web API key
  • your SteamID64
  • Humble bundle title data needed to resolve trusted Steam matches
  • Steam app IDs and store-region requests needed to retrieve current pricing and sale information
• To Humble Bundle:
  • the extension reads page content locally in your browser
  • it does not operate a separate Humble data service or send your data to a developer-run backend

What the extension does not do

• It does not operate its own server or cloud backend.
• It does not sell your data.
• It does not use advertising or analytics services.
• It does not transmit your data anywhere other than the Steam requests required for the extension to function.

Data retention and control

Your data remains in your local browser profile until you remove it.

You can remove stored data by:

• clearing the extension settings or cache from the extension UI
• uninstalling the extension
• clearing extension storage through your browser

Security

The extension uses your browser's local extension storage and HTTPS requests to Steam. No software can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for protecting access to your browser profile and device.

Changes

This policy may be updated if the extension's behavior changes. The current version will be published in this repository.
